Why do I have a missing physical disk?
A physical disk might show a Missing status for these reasons:
- You removed the physical disk from the expansion enclosure while the physical disk was assigned to a disk group.
- You imported a disk group using the Force option, and not all of the physical disks were imported.
You might remove a physical disk from the expansion enclosure for these reasons:
- To move the physical disk to another slot or to another expansion enclosure within the same storage array.
- To export the disk group so that you can place the physical disks in storage.
- To export the disk group so that you can move disk group to another storage array.
