Use the Pre-read Redundancy Check option to define the capability of a to pre-read virtual disk information and determine if the data of that virtual disk is consistent. A virtual disk that has this feature enabled returns
read errors if the data is determined inconsistent by the RAID controller module firmware.
You cannot enable this feature for virtual disks that do not contain redundancy information.
You can enable redundancy pre-read on a per-virtual disk basis.
You can enable this check only for non-high-level virtual disks.
You can enable this check for normal virtual disks, , and .
If a virtual disk that is configured with pre-read is migrated to a that does not maintain redundancy information, the metadata of the virtual disk continues to reflect the feature property.
Reads to that virtual disk will ignore redundancy pre-read. If the virtual disk is subsequently migrated back to a RAID type
that supports redundancy, the feature will become available again.
