Moving an iSCSI Initiator
When you move an , you move the from one to another host.
Use these guidelines when moving an iSCSI initiator:
- If the iSCSI initiator has a , that virtual disk registration is deleted.
- If you are replacing a failed host adapter with a new host adapter, you must replace the iSCSI initiator.
Use this sequence when moving an iSCSI initiator:

Physically remove the host adapter from the host.

Use Move to move the iSCSI initiator to the new host.

Physically insert the host adapter into the new host.

Reboot both hosts so that the host operating systems can recognize the changes.
