What are the restrictions when adding a physical disk?

When you add a physical disk to a storage array, you must use these guidelines:

You must use a physical disk type that matches the other physical disks in the disk group.
If the new physical disk is configured as a hot spare, the new physical disk must be as large or larger than the largest physical disk.
You might need to reconfigure the Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) level of the disk group after you add a new physical disk.
