The automatic negotiation for the data rate on the specified port has failed. The port is down and will not transfer any data. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.
Possible causes include:

Check the Summary area of the Recovery Guru to see if a failed port is being reported.

Unplug and reconnect the cable at both ends of the port specified in the Details area and then go to step 3. |

Check the host adapter to determine if it has failed or is not properly transmitting its data rate (consult your host adapter documentation for details).

Click Recheck to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your technical support representative. |
