Removed Fan Module

What Caused the Problem?

A fan has been removed from the enclosure. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.

Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when handling components. Touching components without using a proper ground may damage equipment.

Important Note

When a fan is removed, redundancy is lost for the power supply/cooling fan module. The remaining fan will continue to provide cooling; however, this may result in the storage array exceeding temperature limits. Therefore, make sure you correct this problem as soon as possible.

Recovery Steps

1

Reseat the power supply/cooling fan module securely back into place.

2

Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area.
