Snapshot Repository Virtual Disk Capacity - Full
What Caused the Problem?
All of the repository virtual disk's available capacity has been used. The
Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you
follow the Recovery Steps.
Important Notes
The repository virtual disk's failure policy determines what
happens when the repository becomes full. The failure policy can be set to
either fail the snapshot (default setting) or fail incoming I/Os to the
snapshot's source virtual disk. You set a repository virtual disk's failure
policy when you first create a snapshot. To view the failure policy for a
virtual disk, click the View storage array profile link from the Support
tab, then click the Virtual Disks tab, and then the Repositories
tab.
- If the failure policy is set to fail the snapshot virtual
disk, its data is not recoverable and the snapshot virtual disk cannot be
accessed. You have the option of deleting the snapshot virtual disk, if it
is no longer needed, or re-creating the existing snapshot virtual disk.
- If the failure policy is set to fail incoming I/Os to the
snapshot's source virtual disk, the snapshot virtual disk can be accessed,
but the source virtual disk will continue to fail all incoming I/Os until
a new instance of the snapshot virtual disk is re-created or the snapshot
virtual disk is deleted.
