Storage Partitioning Wizard: Premium Feature Not Enabled or Maximum Storage Partitions Used

Why Did I Get This Error Message?

You have attempted to create or change a , and the Storage Partitioning option is not enabled, or the  has reached its maximum number of allowable .

Storage Partitioning is a  that must be specifically enabled through the user interface.

How Do I Recover from This Error?

If the Storage Partitioning option is not enabled, select Storage Array >> Premium Features >> Enable to enable it. If you have not previously obtained a  for Storage Partitioning, contact your storage supplier. See Obtaining a Feature Key File for more information.

If the storage array has reached its maximum number of allowable partitions, look at your existing partitions and see whether it is possible to perform the following tasks:

Change the mapping to a , instead of a host. See Changing a Virtual Disk-to-LUN Mapping for more information.

Remove any existing partitions no longer required. Ensure that you definitely do not need them before removing, then see Removing an HBA Host Port, Host, Host Group, or Virtual Disk Mapping for more information.
