Important: The indicator light activation varies according to the type of expansion enclosure you have.
- If you have a expansion enclosure with a white indicator light, the locating a expansion enclosure operation causes the white light on the enclosure to turn on. The light does not blink.
- If you have any other expansion enclosures, this operation causes the appropriate indicator light on all physical disks in the expansion enclosure to blink.
Use the following procedure to locate a expansion enclosure:

When you have located the expansion enclosure, click OK. The indicator lights stop blinking (if you have a expansion enclosure with a blue indicator light, the light turns off). If any other Blink operations (Blink Storage Array, Blink Disk Group, Blink Physical Disk Channels, Blink Expansion Enclosure, or Blink Physical Disk) are being invoked from another Note: If the indicator lights from the Blink Expansion Enclosure operation do not stop blinking, use the Stop All Indications option to stop the process manually. |
Normally, the indicator lights stop flashing when you click OK in the Blink Storage Array, Blink Physical Disk Channels, Blink Disk Group, Blink Expansion Enclosure, or Blink Physical Disk dialogs. Use the Stop All Indications option in the rare case that a Blink operation has not properly closed and the indicator lights on the storage array physical disks continue to blink.

From the Array Management Window, select Storage Array >> Blink >> Stop All Indications. If the indicator lights successfully stop blinking, a confirmation message is displayed. |
