Use the Activate Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring Wizard option to activate the
Important:
- When the Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring premium feature is in use, there are limits to the number of
that are supported on a given storage array. Before activating the feature, verify that the number of configured virtual disks on your storage array is under the supported limit (keep in mind that activating the Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring feature creates two that count against the virtual disk limit). - The 5884, 4884, and 2882 storage arrays support up to 64 mirror definitions.
- Ensure that the switch fabric is appropriately configured before beginning this procedure.
- Reservations on secondary virtual disks are blocked. However, reservations on primary virtual disks are allowed.
- Before continuing, make sure you have completed the following tasks:
- Ensure that the storage arrays containing the two virtual disks for which you want to create a mirror relationship are connected together through a
fabric interface. - Enable the Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring feature on both storage arrays (primary and secondary) using a

Follow the directions on each wizard dialog, and click Next when you are ready to move to the next wizard dialog. Note: Each Wizard dialog has context-sensitive help. Click Help to receive help applicable for that particular dialog. |
