Mirror Repository Virtual Disk

A special  in the  created as a resource for the  of the  in a . The  stores mirroring information on this virtual disk, including information about  that are not yet written to the . The RAID controller module can use this information to recover when the storage array is powered on and off or when there is a RAID controller module reset.

When you activate the  on the storage array, you create two Mirror Repository Virtual Disks, one for each RAID controller module in the storage array. The Mirror Repository Virtual Disk for a RAID controller module stores information about every Remote Virtual Disk Mirror that contains a primary virtual disk owned by this RAID controller module. An individual Mirror Repository Virtual Disk is not needed for each Remote Virtual Disk Mirror.

When you create the Mirror Repository Virtual Disks, you specify placement of the virtual disks. You can either use existing  or you can create a  for the virtual disks from  and specify the  level.

To delete the Mirror Repository Virtual Disks, select Storage Array >> Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring >> Deactivate. Deactivating the Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring feature automatically removes the Mirror Repository Virtual Disks for the storage array.
