A physical disk that is managed by the Windows 2000 tool. Dynamic disks can contain only created with Disk
Management and cannot contain partitions or logical physical disks.
Note: Dynamic disks and virtual disks are not supported on laptop computers.
The following tasks may be performed on dynamic disks:
Create and delete simple, spanned, striped, mirrored, and virtual disks
Extend a simple or spanned virtual disk
Remove a mirror from a mirrored virtual disk or split the virtual disk into two virtual disks
Repair mirrored or RAID 5 virtual disks
Reactivate a missing or offline disk
