Disk Management is a graphical tool in the Windows 2000 operating
system for managing disks.

The tool offers many features.
You can perform online administrative tasks without shutting down the system or interrupting users. For example, you can create, extend, or mirror a without restarting the system. You can also add disks without restarting. Most configuration changes take effect almost immediately; it is not necessary to save or commit changes before they take effect.
You can manage any remote Windows 2000 computer on which you are a member of the Administrators or Server Operators group.
Disk Management provides shortcut menus to show you which tasks you can perform on the selected object. Wizards guide you through tasks such as creating partitions and virtual disks and upgrading disks.
