The valid primary virtual disk candidates are displayed in the Select Primary Virtual Disk dialog alphabetically.
Use the following procedrue to select the virtual disk on the local storage array:
Important:
- The following virtual disks are not valid primary virtual disk candidates and do not appear in the list:
- Virtual Disks that are already participating in a mirror relationship
- Standard virtual disks with a
- On a 5884 or 4884 storage array, up to 64 virtual disks may participate in mirror relationships. In previous versions of the storage management software, a maximum of 32 virtual disks could participate in mirror relationships. If you attempt to create a thirty-third mirror relationship in the current version of storage management software, a message is displayed indicating that you need to upgrade your existing Mirror Repository Virtual Disks. For more information, refer to Using the Upgrade Mirror Repository Virtual Disk Wizard.
