Learn About Storage Array Password Protection

Important:

Executing destructive commands on a storage array can cause serious damage, including data loss. A specified password protects any options that the    deems destructive. (These options include any functions that change the state of the storage array, such as creation of , modification of cache settings, and so on.) Without password protection, all options are available within this storage management software.

Note: If you remove all physical disks from a storage array, the password used on that storage array will not work because the password is stored on a reserved area of each physical disk on the storage array. Add one of the original physical disks from the storage array to correct the condition.

Password Considerations

Removing Password Protection
