What is an HBA host port?

The physical and electrical interface on the host bus adapter (HBA) that provides for the connection between the host and the RAID controller module. Most HBAs will have either one or two host ports. The HBA has a unique World Wide Identifier (WWID) and each HBA host port has a unique WWID.
