Rescanning a Host for New Storage Arrays

Use this option to discover newly attached on a selected . Before using this option, make sure that the host-agent software has recognized the newly attached storage arrays. Depending on your operating system, you might have to reboot the host or run a system-specific utility to allow the host-agent software to recognize the new storage arrays. Refer to the storage management software installation guide for your operating system for details.

To rescan a host for new storage arrays, perform the following steps:

Select a host in the Tree view, and select Tools >> Rescan.

Click OK to begin the rescan operation.

Any newly discovered storage arrays are displayed in the Tree view as child nodes of the selected host. The Table view in the right pane is also updated.
