This status indicates that there is a storage array that is running a level of firmware, or a management station running a level of software, that is no longer supported. Firmware downloads or storage management software upgrades are the only storage management functions available for a storage array with a Needs Upgrade status. Storage arrays with a Needs Upgrade status cannot be monitored or otherwise managed.
