Gold Key Support

Gold Key enables you to upgrade your with new premium features. Newer RAID controller module models with Gold Key require that Gold Key be activated as a prerequisite to activating particular premium features.

Enabling of the Gold Key permits the following premium features to be activated:

• Storage Partitioning (allowing more than 16 partitions)
• Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring
• Virtual Disk copy
• Mixed physical disk types

Gold Key compatibility of the RAID controller module model you are using determines whether all features can be enabled. If you have a Gold Key-compatible RAID controller module model, you must purchase Gold Key to activate more than 16 storage partitions, Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring, virtual disk copy, and mixed physical disk types (if your array is subject to the mixed physical disk types key).

RAID Controller Module models without Gold Key permit these premium features to be activated independently. Contact Customer and Technical Support for more information.
