Set Virtual Disk Copy

This command defines the properties for a virtual disk copy pair.

Syntax

set virtualDiskCopy target [targetName] [source [sourceName]] copyPriority=(highest | high | medium | low | lowest) targetReadOnlyEnabled=(TRUE | FALSE)

Parameters

Parameter Description

target

This parameter specifies the name of the target virtual disk for which you want to define properties. Enclose the target name in square brackets ([ ]). If the target name has special characters, you must also enclose the target virtual disk name in double quotes (" ").

source

This parameter specifies the name of the source virtual disk for which you want to define properties. Enclose the source virtual disk name in square brackets ([ ]). If the source virtual disk name has special characters, you must also enclose the source virtual disk name in double quotes (" ").

copyPriority

This parameter defines the priority virtual disk copy will have relative to host I/O activity. Valid entries are highest, high, medium, low, or lowest

targetReadOnlyEnabled

This parameter defines whether you can write to the target virtual disk or only read from the target virtual disk. To be able to write to the target virtual disk, set this parameter to FALSE. To prevent writing to the target virtual disk, set this parameter to TRUE.

Notes

When you use this command, you can specify on or more of the parameters. You do not, however, need to use all of the parameters.
