Set Host Port
This command changes the host type for a host bus adapter (HBA) host port. You can also change an HBA host port label with this command.
Syntax
set hostPort [portLabel] host="hostName" userLabel="newPortLabel"
Parameters
Parameter Description portLabel
The name of the HBA host port for which you want to change the host type, or for which you want to create a new name. Enclose the HBA host port name in square brackets ([??]). If the HBA host port label has special characters, enclose the HBA host port label in double quotation marks ("??"). host
The name of the host to which the HBA host port is or will be connected. Enclose the host name in double quotation marks ("??"). userLabel
The new name that you want to give to the HBA host port. Enclose the new HBA host port name in double quotation marks ("??"). Notes
When you use this command, you can specify one or more of the parameters. You do not, however, need to use all of the parameters.
You can use any combination of alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores for the names. Names can have a maximum of 30 characters.
