What are the rules for assigning a name to a disk group?
When you assign a name to a , the name lets you differentiate between one disk group and another.
You can see the disk group names that you currently use. Click the Summary tab, and click Disk groups & virtual disks.
Rules for Naming
Use these rules when assigning a name to disk groups:
Names can contain a maximum of 30 characters.
Names can include letters, numbers, and the special characters underscore (_), minus (-), and pound sign (#). No other special
characters are permitted.
Use a clear, meaningful name that is easy to understand and to remember. Avoid arbitrary names or names that lose their meaning
in the future.
