SAS physical disks and SATA physical disks are useful for different reasons:
SAS – These physical disks are used in commercial environments to support business applications that are mission critical.
SAS is especially compatible for mass storage devices with high access, such as external physical disks, because of its fast
throughput.
SATA – These physical disks give standard performance and reliability, and usually cost less. SATA physical disks are useful
for data backup and archival.
