Power Supply/Cooling Fan Module - No Power Input

What Caused the Problem?

Power to one of the power supply/cooling fan modules has been lost. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.

Important Note

Due to the loss of power, the storage array currently does not have redundant power supply/cooling fan modules. The storage array will continue to operate with the remaining power supply/cooling fan module; however, failure of the remaining power supply/cooling fan module will result in a loss of access to the storage array and the storage array will exceed its temperature limits. Therefore, make sure you correct this problem as soon as possible.

Recovery Steps

1

Check each of the following for problems with setup, loose connections, or failures:

  • Power switch on the power supply/cooling fan module - Make sure the power switch is in the ON position.
  • Power cables - Check for loose connections or faulty cables.
  • Power outlets - Make sure there is power coming from the outlet, and that all cables are properly connected.
  • Circuit breakers for main power - Check to see if the circuit breakers need to be reset.
