An EMM module has failed in an expansion enclosure. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.
Caution: Possible loss of data accessibility. Do not
remove a component when the Service Action Allowed field in the Details
area of this recovery procedure is NO. Removing a component while its Service
Action Allowed field is NO may result in temporary loss of access to your
data. Refer to the following Important Notes and the Recovery Steps for more
detail.
Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when
handling components. Touching components without using a proper ground may
damage the equipment.

Check to make sure there is power to the expansion enclosure and that the external cables are secure.

Perform the following steps to identify the failed EMM module.

Check the Service Action Allowed status for the failed EMM module in the Details area.

Reseating the affected EMM module may clear the failure being reported. To reseat, remove the EMM module from the expansion enclosure, wait 10 seconds, and re-insert the EMM module firmly. Reconnect all cables. Wait 40 seconds, then click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru.

Replace the failed EMM module. Make sure that the replacement EMM module is the same hardware type as the EMM module that is remaining in the expansion enclosure. |

Reconnect the cables to the replaced EMM module. Wait 40 seconds, then go to step 8. |

Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, make sure you identified the correct EMM module as failed, correct any problems, and repeat step 8. If there is still a failed EMM module reported, contact your technical support representative. |
