A problem occurred during the Discrete Lines Diagnostics. The Discrete Lines are dedicated control and status lines between the RAID controller modules that reside in the Interconnect-battery module. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.
Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when handling components. Touch components without using a proper ground may damage the equipment.
| 1 | Place the affected RAID controller module offline.

| 2 | Read all of the following steps before taking any action.
|
|||||||||||||||||
| 3 | Rerun the Discrete Lines Diagnostic.
|
|||||||||||||||||
| 4 | If replacing the RAID controller module that reported the problem did not fix the problem, repeat steps 1 through 3 for the alternate RAID controller module. If replacing both RAID controller modules did not fix the problem, go to step 5. |

| 5 | Follow the Recovery Steps for a Failed Interconnect-battery module, but do not discard the module, as the problem may be in a different component.
From the Array Management Window, select Help >> Reference Recovery Procedures, and then select Failed Interconnect-Battery Module from the list. When you are finished, go to step 6. |

| 6 | Rerun the Discrete Lines Diagnostic.

| 7 | Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your technical support representative. |
