Task Assistant: Add Storage Arrays

Use this dialog to add or .

You can discover existing storage arrays or add storage arrays manually. Adding storage arrays automatically can take a few minutes because the software must search the entire network for storage arrays. Adding storage arrays manually takes a few seconds for each one you add.

To add storage arrays, perform the following steps:

From the Task Assistant, select the Add Storage Arrays button.

Result: The Selection Addition Method dialog is displayed.

Select the appropriate discovery method to add the storage array.

Automatic – The management software scans the network and automatically detects any existing storage arrays. This method is recommended if you already have a storage array configured with the appropriate hardware and firmware.

Result: The Confirm Automatic Discovery dialog is displayed.

Manual – If you want to manually add one storage array at a time or only want to add certain arrays on an established network, select the Manual option.

Result: The Add Storage Array dialog is displayed.
