Auto-negotiation is link speed negotiation performed on each host channel fibre channel port .Auto negotiation is enabled as the default for GbE management ports. If auto-negotiation fails, a Needs-Attention status appears and the system tries to establish a connection at 10BASE-T, half duplex.

IPv4 and IPv6 Settings

If you select a RAID controller module that has internet protocol versions 6 (IPv6) you will be able to select either internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) or IPv6. If the RAID controller module only has IPv4, IPv6 will not be shown in the dialog. When both IPv4 and IPv6 are shown, ensure that you select the applicable version:

1

Select the applicable RAID controller module and port combination from the pull-down menu.

2

Select the applicable speed and duplex mode from the pull-down menu.

With either IPv4 or IPv6, you can select the method of configuration

If you specify obtain configurations automatically, configurations will be obtained:

Click OK to complete the configuration.

If you select specify configuration for IPv4, complete these step:

1

Type an IP address in the IP address field.

2

Type a subnet mask in the subnet mask field.

3

If you want to change the RAID controller module gateway, click on Change RAID Controller Module Gateway. A dialog opens. When all changes are completed, click OK.

If you select specify configuration for IPv6, complete these step:

1

Type the last half of the IP address in the IP address field. The first half is always: FE80:0000:0000:0000 and is already displayed.

2

Type the routable IP address in the Routable IP address field.

3

If you want to change the RAID controller module router IP, click on Change RAID Controller Module Router IP. A dialog opens. When all changes are completed, click OK.
