Viewing Storage Array Host/Virtual Disk Mappings

Use the  window to display and define the mapping status for  on the selected .

Tip: Click the plus or minus sign beside the node to expand or collapse the view of its child nodes.

Important:  are not mappable and are not displayed in the Mappings View.

Perform the following steps:

Select View >> Mappings.

The Mappings View window is displayed, with the Topology View in the left pane and the Defined Mappings View in the right pane, as described in the following table.

Topology View

Displays a tree structure of the , , , and virtual disks for the selected storage array.

  • A Undefined Mappings node displays all unmapped virtual disks or virtual disks that have been mapped only once.
  • Mapped virtual disks using  are highlighted by the partitioning icon .

Defined Mappings View

Displays details for each item in the storage array .

Note: If partitions have not previously been defined (and the Storage Partitioning feature has been enabled), an informational dialog is displayed. Click OK to continue.

Select the storage array or another node from the Topology View.

The details for the selected node are displayed in the Defined Mappings View. The information in the following table is displayed regardless of the node selected.

Virtual Disk Name

This column is blank unless a  has been assigned.

Accessible By

This column is blank unless a user-supplied name for the host or host group has been defined.

LUN

Displays the user supplied name or "Access" when  are selected.

Virtual Disk Capacity

Displays the total virtual disk capacity. If an Access Virtual Disk is selected, this column is blank.
