A failed is represented by this icon in the
Logical View of the . This status is the most serious
one for a virtual disk.
A virtual disk status of Failed occurs when two or more physical disks have failed in the same, or one or more physical disks have failed in a disk group. Either way, all the virtual disks on the disk group are no longer operating. In a , , or disk group, you have lost data unless you erroneously removed the second physical disk and it was actually and not failed. In a RAID 0 disk group, you have lost data. Use the Recovery Guru to restore your disk group to Optimal status.
Physical components such as , physical disks, and power supplies can also have a Failed status. Icons reflecting a status change to Failed are shown in the Physical View of the Array Management Window.
