Collect All Support Data

Use the Collect All Support Data option to gather various types of inventory, status, and performance data that can help troubleshoot any problems with your . All of the files gathered are compressed into a single archive in a zipped- file format, which can then be forwarded to Customer and Technical Support for troubleshooting and further analysis.

Important: This option should be used only under the guidance of a Customer and Technical Support representative.

Which data am I collecting?

Use the following procedure to collect all support data.

From the , select Advanced >> Troubleshooting >> Collect All Support Data.

2 In the Specify filename field, either enter a name for the file to be saved (for example, C:\filename.zip), or browse to a previously saved file if you want to overwrite an existing file.
Use the convention "filename.zip" for the name of the file. (The suffix .zip is added automatically to the file if you do not specify a suffix for the file.) You might also specify another physical disk and directory if you want to save the file in a location other that the default.
3 Select Start.
After all of the support files have been gathered, they are archived using the filename you specified in step 2.
4 Click OK.
The Array Management Window is displayed.
