Finding Nodes

Use the Find dialog to search for a particular node in the  or  of the . The search might be based on a particular node name,  level,  capacity, free capacity, or might be based on one of the following combinations:

Finding  Nodes Based on the Node Name

Use the following procedure to find nodes based on their node name.

Important: After the search criteria has been entered, every matching node is selected.

From the Array Management Window, select View >> Find.

Select Search by name.

Type the name of the node to be found in the Find node field.

Click Find Next.

Tip: Click Find Next repeatedly to see every node that matches the criteria. If no matches are found, the Search Failed dialog is displayed. Click OK, and re-enter the search criteria.

Click Cancel to close the dialog.

Tip: Press F3 to continue searching for nodes with the same criteria after the Find dialog has been closed.

Finding Nodes Based on Special Criteria

Use the following procedure to find nodes based on their RAID level or capacity or to find specific .

From the Array Management Window, select View >> Find.

Select Search by special criteria.

The following options shown in the following table are enabled.

Find all virtual disks with RAID level

Use this option to search for all nodes based on their RAID level.

  • Select Find all virtual disks with RAID level radio button.
  • Select the RAID level from the drop-down list.

Find all virtual disks with capacity

Use this option to search for all nodes based on their virtual disk capacity.

  • Select Find all virtual disks with capacity radio button.
  • Type the capacity in the GB spinner box.
  • Specify that the capacity to be matched is less than, equal to, or greater than the capacity entered in the GB spinner box.

Find all free capacity nodes

Important: This option is not available when the Search by name check box is selected or when in the Mappings View. Uncheck Search by name to enable this option.

Use this option to search for all Free Capacity nodes with a particular capacity.

  • Select Find all free capacity nodes radio button.
  • Type the capacity in the GB spinner box.
  • Specify that the free capacity to be matched is less than, equal to, or greater than the capacity entered in the GB spinner box.

Select Find Next.

Tip: Click Find Next repeatedly to see every node that matches the criteria. If no matches are found, the Search Failed dialog is displayed. Click OK, and re-enter the search criteria.
