What troubleshooting tools are available?

When a problem occurs on a , the provides several ways to learn about and troubleshoot the problem.

These items identify a storage array problem:

• A Needs Attention storage array icon is shown
• Messages are displayed in the Status box on the Summary tab. Click on an item to launch the Recovery Guru.
• Non-optimal icons are shown in front of storage array, drive, and other component names
• Alert Notification messages are sent to the appropriate destinations
• Hardware fault lights come on

Recovery Guru displays a recommended troubleshooting procedure. If necessary, refer to your hardware documentation for more information.

Support Information provides a group of files that reports the current status of the storage array. These files contain data about Recovery Guru, the storage array profile, performance statistics, and other storage array statuses. Support Information can be sent to a Customer and Technical Support representative to assist them with evaluating the health and recovery procedures for your storage array.
