Correcting a partially managed storage array condition for an in-band storage array
A partially managed storage array occurs when only one RAID controller module is defined or can be reached when the storage
array is added to or found by the MD Storage Manager Software.
The following conditions can cause a partially managed storage array that is managed using in-band connections:
- The external cable between the host bus adapter and the RAID controller module is damaged or not connected.
- The RAID controller module was installed or replaced since the last time that the host-agent software was started.
Use this procedure to correct a partially managed storage array that is managed using in-band connections.
-
Make sure all cables connected to the RAID controller module are not damaged.
-
Make sure all cables are tightly connected.
-
Restart the host-agent software on the host through which you are having problems detecting the RAID controller module.
