From the Task Assistant, select Configure Alerts.
Result: The Configure Alerts dialog is displayed.

Determine the level of alert notification you want, and select the appropriate choice:
- All storage arrays – Select this option if there is a problem with any storage array on the network, and you want a notification email to be sent to the alert email address.
- An individual storage array – Select this option if you only want to know about errors on a specific storage array.
- All storage arrays managed through a specific host – Select this option if you want to be alerted of errors that only occur to storage arrays that are managed by a host that you specify.

Click OK.
Result:
- If you selected All storage arrays, the Configure Alerts dialog is displayed. For more information, see Configuring E-mail and SNMP Alert Notification Settings.
- If you selected An individual storage array, the View Storage Arrays dialog is displayed. Select the storage array for which you want to get email alerts. If you are unsure which storage array to select, click Blink to cause the location indicator light to flash on the storage array. A dialog is displayed in which you can choose to stop the location indicator light from flashing.
- If you selected All storage arrays managed through a specific host, a dialog is displayed in which you can select the specific host that manages the storage arrays to which you want to be alerted if errors occur. If you are unsure of which host to select, select a host, and click View. The View Storage Arrays dialog is displayed, showing the storage arrays connected to the selected host.

When you are done making your selections, click OK.
Result: The dialog closes, and the EMW window is displayed.
An email alert is sent to the specified email address when an error occurs on the arrays or hosts you selected.
