What if my system only has one RAID controller module?

When you add a  with only one , the resulting addition can create a partially managed storage system.

This condition has different effects that depend on how the storage array is managed over the network:

If you are managing the storage array through the Ethernet connections on the RAID controller modules (out-of-band), either you did not give the  name or  of one of the RAID controller modules, or a connection problem exists.

If you are managing the storage array through a host network connection ( ), the storage management software could not find one of the RAID controller modules in the attached storage array.
