When you create a using the feature, all of the physical disks in the disk group are found in different expansion enclosures. Enclosure loss protection provides more data protection if access to the enclosure is lost. This feature is used by default when you choose the automatic configuration option.
Enclosure loss protection depends on the number of enclosures that are available and the value set for the level. Configuring your disk groups to have enclosure loss protection is recommended. If your configuration supports the minimum number of expansion enclosures for your RAID level, create your disk groups to have enclosure loss protection.
