Failed Physical Disk - Unassigned or Standby Hot Spare

What Caused the Problem?

An unassigned physical disk or a standby hot spare physical disk has failed. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.

  Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when handling components. Touching components without using a proper ground may damage the equipment.

Remove the physical disk (the status LED on the affected physical disk may be amber flashing). The Recovery Guru Details area also provides the location of the failed physical disk.

Wait 30 seconds and then insert a new physical disk.

Click Recheck to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area.
