If your storage array is managed using an out-of-band connection, and an Access Virtual Disk mapping is assigned to the , an Access Virtual Disk mapping is assigned to every host created from the Default Group. To prevent this from happening, remove the Access Virtual Disk mapping from the Default Group. For more information, see Removing an Access Virtual Disk Mapping. - Most hosts will be able to have 255 LUNs mapped per storage partition. Solaris with
, NetWare 5.1, and HP-UX 11.0 are restricted to 32 LUNs. If you try to map a virtual disk to a LUN that is greater than 32, the host is unable to access it.

Use the following procedure to select virtual disks/LUNs.

Select a virtual disk in the Select virtual disk list box. |

Select the LUN to be associated with the virtual disk from the Assign LUN list. |

Click Add. The selected virtual disk and its associated LUN are displayed in the Virtual Disks to include in partition list and are removed from the Select virtual disk and Assign LUN lists. |

Repeat steps 1 to 3 until all the virtual disks to be included in the storage partition have been moved to the Virtual Disks to include in partition list box. |

Click Finish. |

Click OK. The storage partition is created. The host group or host associated with the partition is moved out of the Default Group in the Topology View, and a storage partition icon |
