Storage Partitioning Wizard: Introduction

This dialog helps you to quickly and easily create a single . It guides you through the major steps required to specify the  and , together with their , to be included in the storage partition.

Important: Before a storage partition can be defined, the following steps must be completed:

Define the . Define host groups only if you have two or more hosts that will share access to the same virtual disks. Otherwise, skip to step 2. For more information, see Defining a Host Group.

Define the hosts that will access virtual disks on the . For more information, see Defining a Host.

Define the  that will allow a host to access the virtual disks on the storage array. For more information, see Defining an HBA Host Port.

Follow the directions on each dialog, and click Next when ready to move to the next wizard dialog.
