Important: If you do not see all the HBA host port identifiers that you expect, it might be necessary to run  on the host.

Host operating system

Select the required host type from the Host operating system drop-down list.

The host type enables you to specify the operating system for this host port.

Notes:

  • If Storage Partitioning is disabled, the default host type is presented in this field and cannot be changed.
  • If Storage Partitioning is enabled, you can select from a list of multiple host types.

HBA host port name

Type a new HBA host port name in the Host port name field, or accept the default name.

After an HBA host port has been defined, the default HBA host port name changes to the next sequential name/number combination.
