A storage entity managed by the storage management software. A storage array consists of a collection of both physical components (such as physical disks, , fans, and power supplies) and logical components (such as  and ). A storage array can span multiple physical enclosures.

The term storage array replaces the term RAID Module that was used in the previous versions of this storage management software.
