Increase Virtual Disk Capacity: Additional Instructions

 Caution: Possible loss of  capacity - Increasing the capacity of a ??is not supported on Solaris, HP-UX, or IRIX operating systems. If the capacity of a standard virtual disk is increased on a  that is unsupported, the expanded capacity is unusable, and the original virtual disk capacity cannot be restored.

The following operating systems support an increase in virtual disk capacity for a standard virtual disk, where  have been defined:

Note: If a virtual disk-to-LUN mapping has not yet been defined, you can increase the capacity for a standard virtual disk on any host type.

Increasing the capacity of a standard virtual disk might be achieved with several third-party tools to resize disk partitions. For more information on partition resizing, refer to your specific application's user documentation.
