The following list describes some of the dialogs you encounter when using the Define Host Wizard:
The Introduction dialog enables you to indicate if you will use on the storage array. If you will use storage partitions, then the wizard asks you information about the (operating system) of your host as well as whether the host will be part of a cluster of hosts () that will share access to the same set of .
The Specify Name/Port Identifier dialog enables you to specify a name for the host as well as match the identifiers to the particular host
that you are defining.
The Specify Operating System dialog enables you to specify the operating system to use on the host. (This dialog does not appear if you did not choose to use storage partitions in the Introduction dialog.)
The Define Host Wizard: Define Host Group dialog enables you to specify the host type (operating system) used on the host. (This dialog does not appear if you indicated that you are not using storage partitions in the Introduction card. If you are not using storage partitions, then a default host type is used for all hosts attached to the storage array. You can change this default host type by selecting Storage Array >> Change >> Default Host Type.)
The Define Host Wizard: Specify Host Groupdialog enables you to indicate whether this host will be part of a cluster of hosts (host group) that will share access to the same set of virtual disks. (This dialog does not appear if you did not choose to use storage partitions in the Introduction dialog.)
The Define Host Wizard: Preview dialog shows a summary of the options you have selected in the wizard and provides the option to save these options in a script.
