Use the Define Host Wizard to define the  that will access the  in this . Defining a host is one of the steps required to let the storage array know which hosts are attached to it and to allow access to the virtual disks.

Use the following procedure to define hosts that will access virtual disks in a storage array.

To set up host partitioning, choose from one of the following options:

Yes - Select this option if you plan to divide the host into partitions where a set of virtual disks can be accessed by certain hosts that you specify.

Note: You must have the Storage Partitions  enabled to use storage partitions.

No - Select this option if you only have a single host attached to your storage array or all of your attached hosts will access all of the virtual disks in the storage array. All hosts that do not have storage partitions will be placed in the . All hosts in the Default Group share access to the virtual disks in the storage array and have the same  (operating system).
