Create Remote Virtual Disk Mirror Wizard: Select Synchronization Settings

Use this dialog to set the rate at which the  of the  synchronizes data with the  and the  setting for the mirrored pair.

Which resynchronization method should I choose?

Use the following procedure to set the rate at which the RAID controller module owner synchronizes data.

Note: The rate set on this dialog applies to both the primary and secondary virtual disks. You can modify the rate on the primary virtual disk at a later time by selecting Virtual Disk >> Remote Virtual Disk Mirroring >> Change >> Synchronization Settings.

Move the slider bar to the right or left to change the synchronization priority to a higher or lower setting. This setting applies to both primary and secondary virtual disks.

Important: Higher settings allocate more resources to synchronization at the expense of system performance. If you decide later that the synchronization priority is too low or too high, you can change it. For more information, see Changing Remote Virtual Disk Mirror Synchronization Settings.

Select one of the following resynchronization methods:
  •  - (recommended option) Select this option to start resynchronization manually after communication is restored to a mirrored pair in an Unsynchronized state. This option provides the best opportunity for recovering data.
  •  - Select this option to start resynchronization automatically after communication is restored to a mirrored pair in an Unsynchronized state.
