The Create Your Own Configuration dialog is formatted as a worksheet, and enables you to define the total number of
Tips and examples on allocating capacity
What RAID level is best for my application?
What are the virtual disk I/O characteristics?
Important:
- If your storage array contains multiple physical disk types and a particular physical disk type no longer has any
available for configuration, the appropriate tab will NOT be displayed. - If you attempt to over allocate more than the maximum number of unassigned physical disks available on your storage array, an Over-Allocation icon will be displayed, and a warning will be displayed indicating that you need to adjust the parameters you have selected.
- If you have chosen an invalid configuration, you will not be able to advance to the next Wizard dialog. An invalid configuration can occur if there are more physical disks allocated than there are physical disks available, or if the number of physical disks per disk group selected is not valid for the current
level. You will need to adjust the selected parameters before advancing to the next Wizard dialog.
