Caution: Risk of Data Loss or Damage to the Storage Array. Downloading EMM configuration settings incorrectly could result in damage to the storage array or loss of data. Downloads should be performed only under the guidance of a technical support representative.
Caution: Risk of Making EMM Cards Unusable. Do not make any configuration changes to the storage array while downloading EMM configuration settings. Doing so could cause the configuration settings download to fail and make the selected EMM cards unusable.

From the Array Management Window, select the Advanced >> Maintenance >> Download >> EMM Configuration Settings pull-down menu option. Result: The Download Environmental (EMM) Card Configuration Settings dialog is displayed. The Enclosures table lists the details of all enclosures in the storage array that contain EMM cards. The File field allows you to select an EMM Configuration Settings file for download. Important: If an EMM card does not show up in the list (because of a loss of redundancy or some other problem) run the Recovery Guru to diagnose and fix the problem before continuing with the download. |

In the Enclosures table, highlight each enclosure to which you want to download EMM Configuration Settings or select the Select All button to highlight all allowable expansion enclosures in the storage array. Note: Each expansion enclosure selected must have the same EMM firmware version. Expansion enclosures that contain mismatched EMM firmware are listed in the table; however, you will not be able to select such a expansion enclosure with an EMM firmware mismatch. |

Enter the EMM Configuration Settings file to download in the File field by selecting Browse and getting the EMM Configuration Settings file from a local or network physical disk. (The Browse button will be unavailable until an enclosure has been selected.) Note: The Start button will be unavailable until both a expansion enclosure and an EMM Configuration Settings file are selected. |

Select Start. Confirm your selections by typing yes and selecting OK to continue with the EMM Configuration Settings download or Cancel to quit. Result: The Status field in the Enclosures table changes from Pending to Downloading for the EMM Configuration Settings operation in progress. Note: If you select Stop while an EMM Configuration Settings download is in progress, the download-in-progress will finish before the operation stops. The status field for the remaining enclosures changes to Canceled. |

Monitor the progress and completion status of the download to the enclosures. The progress and status of each expansion enclosure participating in the download is displayed in the status field of the Enclosures table. Note: Each EMM Configuration Settings download can take several minutes to complete.
If the EMM Configuration Settings download is successful to each expansion enclosure, the status fields of the expansion enclosures show Completed and you may close the Download Environmental (EMM) Card Configuration Settings window by selecting Close. The EMM Cards are now operating with the new configuration settings. |
