Why does the physical disk capacity appear smaller than I would expect?
When you select to add to a , the capacity numbers that you see presented might appear smaller than what you expected.
Smaller-than-expected capacity choices can occur for these reasons:
The unconfigured capacity you were expecting to see is on a that is different from the physical disk type used for the disk group to which you want to add capacity.
A portion of the physical disk capacity is reserved for system use.
