Removed Interconnect-Battery Module

What Caused the Problem?

The Interconnect-battery module has been removed from your RAID controller module enclosure. The Interconnect-battery module is required for proper storage array function, and therefore, you must replace the Interconnect-battery module immediately. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the Recovery Steps.

 Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when handling components. Touching components without using a proper ground may damage the equipment.

Recovery Steps

If... Then...
You removed the Interconnect-battery module because you were instructed to do so from the Recovery Steps for a Failed Interconnect-battery module Disregard this problem in the Summary area, as the problem will no longer appear in the Summary area when you complete the Recovery Steps for the Failed Interconnect-battery module.

If the Recovery Steps for the Failed Interconnect-battery module no longer appear in the Summary area, then select the Help >> Reference Recovery Procedures menu option, then select Failed Interconnect-Battery Module to complete the Recovery Steps.

The Interconnect-battery module was removed but is not failed Go to step 2.
2 Reinsert the Interconnect-battery module securely back into place immediately.
3 Wait 30 seconds, then check the status of RAID Controller Module B in the Physical View of the Array Management Window.
If... Then...
RAID Controller Module B is offline In the Physical View of the Array Management Window, select RAID Controller Module B, and then select the Advanced >> Recovery >> Place RAID Controller Module >> Online menu option.

Go to step 4.

RAID Controller Module B is online Go to step 4.
4 Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your technical support representative.
